The King Hotel is a lovely, intimate, a Superior One Star Hotel. King is a Royal Budget Hotel that offers a high level of comfort at al low-level price. Hotel King is housed in an authentic Amsterdams 17th century historic canal house, a previous home of Mata Hari, which overlooks one of Amsterdams Grand Canals. There are just 30 rooms at the King Hotel offering simple but spacious and comfortable accommodation with shared bathroom facilities. Rooms feature colour TV and many have fine views overlooking the canal. Hair dryer, iron and tea and coffee making facilities are all available on request. The rooms are nice, clean and comfortable but Basic* ( = Sharing Shower and WC ) . Most Rooms have color TV..

The hotel is ideally placed for the tourist traveler. Centrally located in the heart of Amsterdam, next to the swinging center Leidseplein and walking distance from the famous museums; Vondelpark; Concert Hall and the Dam Square. A unique location shared only by a few, but envied by most hotels. King hotel is easily accessible from the Central Station via tram 1-2-5 (stop Leidseplein) or via KLM city Centre bus ( stop Marriott hotel ) from Schiphol Amsterdam Airport. The hotel is recommended by most European tourist guides, automobile clubs, airlines and the Amsterdam Tourist Office (VVV).
